Here is my Week 2 advert for Cold As Silk.
This one comes directly from the opening chapter, when Eleanor is standing beside her husband’s grave. It may not be the most conventional way to introduce the heroine of a romance novel, and a few people questioned whether I should use it, but I love it.
It sets the tone for Eleanor perfectly. She isn’t grieving the man she lost. She is standing at the beginning of a life she never thought she would have.
When you reach the epilogue, you can see just how far she has travelled from that moment.
